Introduction to Intimacy Choreography
Learn the basics of Intimacy Choreography with Jenn Dobby! This 90-minute participatory workshop will include an overview of intimacy best-practice philosophies, the implementation of various live performance choreography methods and techniques, a realistic look at what ‘a day in the life’ of an IC looks like, and tips on how to successfully collaborate with artistic and production team members.
This is a virtual class, and students will need to be able to participate at the time of the class as it will not be recorded.

About the Instructor
Jenn Dobby (she/her) is a director, intimacy director/choreographer, playwright, and script consultant. Jenn recently intimacy directed Witch at Renaissance Theaterworks, and also holds Intimacy Direction season residencies at Waukesha Civic Theatre, Outskirts Theatre Company, and Delafield SummerStage. Jenn is a former Dramatists Guild Fellow, and proud member of both the Dramatists Guild and Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. She teaches at Carroll University, where she is also the Chair of the Department of Visual, Interactive and Performing Arts.
