Remy Bumppo brings this exciting new show to Chicago for a limited engagement. This one man show looks at Charles Dickens as he makes the last stop on his final American tour. Witty dialogue combines with excerpts from Dickens' greatest novels to bring vividly to life some of the most beloved characters in all of fiction. Dickens in America features actor James Ridge, who uses make-up, costumes, and physicality to truly become Dickens in what Vital Source Magazine describes as "a spellbinding, highly charismatic performance". The play is written by James DeVita. Both Ridge and DeVita are company members at Spring Green, Wisconsin's American Players Theatre, where Dickens in America has previously been presented in a very successful run.
